Macmillan Cancer Support 2010
Planet Dance raised £506 from the Dance
and Drama show “You Can’t Stop The Beat” held at the
Solihull Arts Complex 18
April 2010. The show was performed in memory of a close
friend of Beverley’s - Jill Thornton who died from
leukaemia in July 2008. Nick Cooper (the man who took
the video) has donated all the money raised from the
videos to our chosen charity – so thank you Nick. Well
done to all our teachers, pupils and parents at Planet
Dance.
Marie Curie – Warwick Road, Solihull 2009
Planet Dance and Treading the Boards
raised £245 from the Dance and Drama Social evening “One
Night Only” held at the Shirley Centre July 2009. The
charity was nominated by a majority vote from pupils and
parents of Planet Dance. – Well done to all involved.
Breakthrough Breast Cancer – 2008
Planet Dance raised £1032.11 from our
Dance and Drama show held at the Solihull Arts Complex
April 2008 “Lets Face the Music and Dance”. Our Planet
Dance’s name is held on Breakthrough Breast Cancers
£1000 Challengers Wall in Kensington. “Every
name on the wall represents hope, every name is an
inspiration. Every name ensures that one day we live
without fear of breast cancer.”
