MUSICAL THEATRE
Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance which combines spoken dialogue, singing, acting and dancing. This gives children the opportunity to build their confidence to express themselves through a character. Lessons are taken place in one of our studios with maple sprung floors and mirrors providing an excellent space for musical theatre. Musical theatre lessons at Planet dance are split into different sections consisting of a warm up, technique, theatrical games and routines. The theatrical games aid the core elements needed to use within Musical theatre such as improvisation, vocal projection and learning scripts. Children are given the chance to perform the routines which they have been learning at our annual show at the Solihull arts complex expanding their experiences to perform on a profession stage.
